Villa in Anacapri, Capri · Sleeps 8 · 4 bedrooms · 4 bathrooms
The quiet, western side of the island, where Capri watches the sun go down.
Anacapri is the half of Capri the day trippers do not reach. The house sits in lemon and olive terraces above the Damecuta ruins on the north-west coast, which is the only part of the island that gets the sunset over open water.
Every principal room faces west towards Ischia. In June the sun sets at nine and the terrace has it to the last minute; in October it is gone by seven, but sets almost dead ahead of the pergola.
The light
The terrace looks over the open sea towards Ischia.
