Villa in Agios Lazaros, Mykonos · Sleeps 10 · 5 bedrooms · 5 bathrooms
Whitewash, local stone and a pool on the edge of the hill, five minutes above Psarou.
Built in the Cycladic way the island still insists on: whitewashed walls, local granite, no more than two storeys, and deep pergolas of cane over every terrace, because on Mykonos the wind and the noon sun are the two things a house has to be built against.
The terraces step down the hill to the south-west and the pool sits on the last of them. The meltemi comes from the north in July and August, and the house was turned so that it shelters every terrace from it.
The light
The terrace looks over Psarou bay and the Aegean.
